August 23

I want to thank Zero Ohms for filling in for me on Saturday so that I could visit Therapy in Indianapolis to hear Seth Nichols, Singularity & The Sky Patrol take the audience on a euphoric journey. Zero Ohms played a live set from Gent, Belgium on July 18, 2008. James Holden was at the decks for almost 3 hours at "10 Days Off" & anybody who tuned into WEVL Memphis was able to experience a ride like none other by this talented DJ & producer.

Hey Bud, I wasn't able to tune into that show, but I wanted to ask you if you have you heard of this yet? Convection: event info from Sean OD's blog. It's going to be a Memphis monthly at Dish. Apparently the DJ is a native New Yorker who is relocating to Memphis.

Sean grew up in Memphis, but moved to Buffalo a few years back. He is a very talented DJ & producer (monikers: OD, Thinkhead & Groove Shepherd). "The Pledge" made on DJ Icey's "The Funky Breaks" mixed CD. He has been on huge labels like FFRR & Velocity. When he is behind the decks, you can see the passion he feels for the music he is playing & you will catch him in a funky groove while he is mixing. Sean is a true music enthusiast, producer, DJ & entertainer!

That's awesome! Thanks for the info! It's going to be great having him back in Memphis, then. Oh, how our Memphis music sphere grows and envelops us like some sort of atmospheric phenomenon! Weeee!
