DJ Growltiger, a new contender of the Memphis DJ circle, shared his mix on August 2, 2008 called "Scattered, Smothered,& Covered." I also interviewed the man the same night. The energetic nostalgic set of classics like Sledgehammer, Let's Dance, Ready To Go & Billie Jean keep even the not-so-techno enthusiasts' attention. The way Growltiger put everything together shows us his attentive ear is fine tuned to keying & creating a nice flow to the music journey. The proof is in the results: I had many phone calls during the set & even received feedback on Myspace & this blog. Here is the track list:

Justin Hand. It's more than a name just thrown around in Memphis, TN. Hand. He is a music lover, producer, remixer & as he demonstrated on the HHDG on March 22, 2008: Justin Hand is a DJ. Period.
Uh - wrong! Hand is more than just these statements. Why? Well there is not a simple explanation for the phenomenon. Anybody who is present on the dance floor during one of his climactic sets understands what I mean. He delivers the goods, but is seamless and ruthless at times. On occasion though, he is soulful & thought-provoking. He can be driving & pounding, trance-Z & uplifting, nostalgic & careful, unpredictable & surprising, but no matter what his mood is, he is in control of the floor. You don't just suddenly become a legend. Absolutely not. Period.
Hand has been a diligent contender for years as a Memphis Legend [in the making.] There is no question about it. After having many residencies throughout the years, producing, and remixing, he came to the conclusion that it's just not enough for him.
A solution for Hand, The Man: his creation...LFO Radio, the Internet 24/7, designed for constant sharing of the music, based in MemFist, of course. Non-stop dance music to endlessly shake your soul all over the dance floor, whether it be in your living room, store, or restaurant, the music lives forever!
Now I reintroduce you to the second of a series of mixes that DJ Justin Hand compiled & mixed: how appropriate . . . Handout V.2! First aired on March 15, 2008:
01 Plastikman - Painikattack (Second Attack Remix)
02 Voodeux - The Curse
03 Mono Music - Dust Noise
04 Tiger Stripes vs Jerome Sydenham - Elevation (Radio Slave's One More Kiss Mix)
05 Gel Abril - Your Face Is A Mess (Mark Broom Remix)
06 Pig & Dan - Deliverance (Mini Mix)
07 John Dalhlback - Blink (D.O.N.S. & DBN Chainsaw Mix)
08 Par Grindvik - Do Us Part (Len Faki Remix)
09 Fergie - Anon
10 Kabale Und Liebe vs Daniel Sanchez - Mumbling Yeah (Loco Dice Tribute Remix)
11 Prompt - Evolve
12 Bryan Zentz vs Stare5 - Bonus2
