10PM: N8 makes his debut guest appearance on WEVL
For me, the moment of realization that N8 was one of the best DJs in Memphis was at a Memphis party at Headliners in 1999. At the end of the set, I congratulated him for such an awesome set and asked him what remix of Size 9's "I Am Ready" he played. His response was, "The original - it's just that there were too many tempting knobs to mess with & I got carried away!" N8 and I smiled as I replied, "Nice remix, N8!"

N8 has been a DJ since the 1990's and has been known to play anything from down-tempo, house, breaks, trance, progressive, tech and tribal. He knows how to fuse the genres together within a set to have a nice steady flow. Tonight was no exception. Using digital technology, Serato, laptop, Pioneer mixer, and 2 vinyl turntables, N8 put together 2 solid hour sets that put a permagrin on my face. It was an honor to have him on the HHDG mixing and talking a little about his life and his take on DJing.
