January 7, 2012

I regret to inform my fans that the HHDG is no longer being broadcasted on WEVL. The station decided to go in a different direction on Saturday nights for 2012. I appreciate your support for the five years I brought you the best in electronic dance music. Love, peace & grease, Buddy

This sucks.

I will say that not every track played was spectacular, but I have heard some tracks on HHDG that were musical gems. Gems I have not heard anywhere else. Please leave the old playlists up (I guess I'll copy and paste them to be safe). I might slowly sift through them over the course of time looking for some of the gems.

Also, what other avenues are out there to hear music like what was played on HHGD? Any specific internet radio stations in mind?

I will say Saturday night might not have been the best spot for HHDG. Sunday nights from 8-11 would have been better I think. Or maybe even in the morning. I remember 92.9 experimented with something called cardio radio in the mornings for a few months (maybe just a few weeks) once, a few years ago I think. People seemed to love it, so I'm not sure why it went away. I guess it didn't matter as ESPN bought the station in the end anyways. Do you remember cardio radio on 92.9?

Sad day. HHDG was the longest running radio show of its type in the country I think.

:( Sorry Buddy. This is a huge lose for Memphis.

Have you considered that this could be a GOOD thing? Maybe now you'll be able to give your energy to schooling, career, better jobs, instead of worrying so much about this unpaid gig. You could additionally challenge yourself with internet radio or apply for local broadcasting jobs. This is a Blessing In Disguise, I say.
